Artist's Comments

Yes, I put this under the "fanart" section because, well, I'm a fan. This was my Master Study project for art class last year. We could pick any artist we wanted. I chose the man I adore and revere for all of his incredible brilliance, heart, and talent, J. R. R. Tolkien. Tolkien...He's just amazing! Dead, but still amazing! All his works...Not only a literary master, but also an admirable artist. I have a book of his beautiful work at home if any of you would like to see it. :w00t:

So yes. This is it. The colors are a bit off in the photo, but the actual painting (well, MY painting of it) is going to be posted in my dorm room. :floating: I love the colors in it. It was my first real foray into watercolors. I mean, I did a dragon fantasy picture before that with crayola watercolor cakes for kids, but that stuff just doesn't cut it for me. ^^; I fell in love with watercolors after this painting. I have a trilogy of pieces coming up in a day or two that is my second foray into the wonderful world of watercolors, so be watching for those! :D

Um...Yeah. I really actually like this piece. Guess that's why I took it to college.

Hope you all like it too! :glomp:

PS: Oh yeah. This is a painting of Taniquetil, the mountain upon which the Halls of Manwe reside. (I hope I got that information right...) Anyways, it's from the Silmarillion, so check it out sometime! :bounce:

Well, as you can suspect on my previous reaction on your comment, I can go on a rant here too.
Though I love to see watercolours used!
